Nicolette was born and educated in South Africa and now lives in Los Angeles. She studied classical guitar, piano, vocal performance and music theory, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English. In addition to her musical career, Nicolette is also an artist, and several of her paintings are featured in her “Grand View Drive” CD artwork.

Nicolette’s acoustic guitar style incorporates unusual chords and unique picking/strumming combinations, which compliment her vocals and songwriting. Literature is her main source of lyrical inspiration.

Nicolette’s début CD, entitled “Grand View Drive”, consists of 11 original songs, and features Nicolette on acoustic guitar, lead vocals and harmonies. “Grand View Drive” was produced by Steve Holroyd, Bob Sheehan and Nicolette Aubourg, and includes cello, violin, piano, B3, electric guitar, drums, bass and percussion from some of L.A.’s finest session players.
